My name is Rocio Lopez and I am a licensed clinical social worker in the state of Florida with over 8 years of experience working with children, teens, and adults to address a variety of issues, including depression, anxiety, ADHD, autism, stress/coping, family/parenting problems, and more. I utilize an integrative approach to therapy, combining principles from psychodynamic therapy, attachment-based therapy, emotionally-focused therapy, person-centered therapy, and neuropsychotherapy. My therapeutic style is work collaboratively with clients, following their lead, as I validate their experiences, support their feelings, and challenge the patterns that no longer serve them. I explore the ways that the client's early relationships are interfering with the client's daily functioning and use the present therapeutic relationship to initiate changes in the neural pathways of the brain that create new patterns of behavior to improve mood and life satisfaction. I strive to help clients achieve the insight they need to move beyond their past into a healthier and happier future.
