I am a Licensed Professional Counselor with over 10 years of experience in the field of counseling, and over 20 years of experience in human services. My experience includes assisting individuals who have experienced trauma related to intimate partner violence and sexual assault, depression, anxiety, substance use disorders, chronic medical conditions and other experiences.

My goal as a therapist is to be as authentic as possible and to make this evident to my clients. Every person is different and will become comfortable with their counselor in their own time. My hope is that through genuine concern and honest communication that clients will allow me the privilege of their trust. In counseling, I utilize different therapies such as Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy, Motivational Interviewing and others. The type of approach I take depends on the topic we are focusing on and other factors.

Beginning a counseling relationship is one of the greatest acts of self-compassion that someone can give to themselves, but it does take bravery, vulnerability, and trust in someone who has not earned it yet.
