Welcome- My name is Roberta and I am a LICSW practicing in Massachusetts. I have been a clinical social worker for almost 30 years and have worked in a variety of settings. The majority of my career has been in the medical field- working with all age groups who have medical issues along with substance or psychiatric co-morbidities. I have worked in clinic settings specializing in cognitive disorders including TBI's, progressive cognitive decline and other neurological disease. I have helped hundreds of clients and their families navigate this scary and uncertain time. I have special knowledge and experience in pregnancy loss, postpartum mood disorders, substance use, depression and anxiety. I view my greatest asset as being able to connect with clients from any background and create a safe place to explore the things that are causing pain or discomfort. My approach is reality-based, supportive psychotherapy with a psycho educational component. I know making the decision to enter therapy can be difficult- it is an important relationship. I strive to continue this important work of continuing to meet people where they are and walk through the difficult road ahead. I often tell people that this work choses you- and it is who you are- it cannot just be learned. My best to all reading this and I look forward to the opportunity to work with you.
