We are all worthy of love, happiness and respect, as long as these do not come at the expense of others. Happiness, joy, peace, fulfillment, love and meaning may not be something we just find, they are likely things we must discover, create and nurture throughout our lives. Our current selves are the products of our past however this does not define who we are. I believe we all have basic human needs that are in constant flux and we are responsible for finding methods to fulfill those needs through the choices we make and relationships we maintain.
I have been trained in the use of both EMDR and TF-CBT to use with clients to process through the overwhelming burden of heartache, resentment, and despair that has roots in traumas earlier in life. I have worked with hundreds of individuals and families challenged by depression, anxiety, abuse, trauma, emotional disturbance, relationship issues, sexual behavior issues, adjustment disorders, problems with impulsivity and owning responsibility, and struggles with low self-esteem.
