About

As a behavioral health professional, it is my goal to deliver services to those faced with inordinate circumstances, overcome obstacles, explore self-improvement, and improve overall quality of life measures for themselves, their families, and their communities. Having worked in various settings within the behavioral health communities, I have both professional and lived experience lending insight into different circumstances affecting those I serve. I began this journey after working in the labor force assuming various positions over the years. I attained my education while working with individuals struggling with substance abuse and legal issues. I graduated with Associates, Bachelors, and Masters degrees, the latter two being concentrated in social work with a focus on clinical practice. I then worked in both addiction treatment and mental health settings, providing a well-rounded understanding of the clients with whom I work together on each their own personal journey. As a client seeking services, there is a process for which one should be aware. The preliminary screenings and assessments are necessary to grasp an understanding of the general problem areas with which one is struggling. Afterwards, the work begins building a relationship of understanding, honesty and genuineness. As a therapist, it is my duty to assist the clients in discovering and navigating their own personal journey to recovery. We do this by self-exploration and critical thinking. I simply am the guide using evidence based practices and theory to ensure each client has the necessary tools to realize the power within themselves to change their lives and the lives of those they love.
