I retired from Saddleback Church where I was Pastor of Pastoral Care for 17+years. I’ve been a licensed marriage and family counselor for 30+ years. I’m passionate about helping people have the abundant life. I respect the fact that everyone needs to make a personal decision about their faith but I do approach therapy using Christian perspectives and values. I was with the 82nd Airborne Division and Drill Instructor–later becoming a pastor/counselor. I’m patient and respectful and work with individuals, men and women, from anger to the workaholism. I seldom find an isolated issue like anger that does not include other issues such as communication and knowing how to build relationships. Good communication is a critical function to resolving problems and conflicts. I’m patient with my clients, and, I want them to be patient with themselves as they move through the process of change. I help my clients recognize the cost of not changing can cost them the relationships of the ones they love.
