Hello!

I am an individual and family therapist licensed in the state of Illinois, with over 18 years of experience having worked as a counselor in community mental health and as a social worker in the hospice community. I have worked with a diverse group of clients, from young adults to the elderly, all who have presented with a wide range of concerns, including depression, anxiety, self-esteem, relationship and family, life adjustment, loss and grief, death and dying and the special needs of the elderly. I have helped clients who have experienced the challenges of emotional abuse, lack of a support system and those facing life changing situations.

My consideration for the well-being of others is evident in my counseling style. I believe that everyone is capable of reaching their potential in life. My compassion and ability to empathize, as well as guide, is always at the center of my work with clients. My approach is holistic and integrative, offering many types of strength- and evidenced- based therapy- from client-centered and cognitive behavioral to positive psychology therapies. Because everyone is unique, I work closely with a client on an approach most fitting to promote his or her sense of wellness.

I have genuine regard for all who have the courage to bring their life concerns into a therapeutic setting. My goal is to empower clients and assist them in building skills, not only to help them through difficult challenges, but to also help them to make changes that will last a lifetime.
