Do you struggle with anxiety, depression and life in general? You have been dealing with stress for so long and you feel like you need to talk to someone. If you are overwhelmed, lost and feeling down, I would like to talk to you about how therapy can benefit you. I use a person-centered, empowerment-focused approach. I believe everyone has strengths within oneself, given unconditional positive regard and judgment-free space. I strive to create a radically safe space in which clients feel seen. head and validated because the therapeutic relationship itself is a powerful therapeutic intervention. I meet where my client is and together we will collaborate to identify certain thoughts and behaviors that are no longer serving you. I would like to empower my client to find their voice, appreciate their needs and know that their needs and feelings do matter. As an immigrant from Japan, I moved to California to pursue a higher education and graduated from the University of California, Los Angeles with a BA in Sociology. I had worked for various private sectors and higher education for approximately 10 years, and I decided to follow my passion by obtaining a Master's degree in social work. I completed 3000 hours of postgraduate residency in clinical social work. I specialize in complex PTSD, LGBTQIA, trauma, depression, anxiety and relationship issues. I practice cultural competence/humility and intersectionality guides my practice. I believe that your lived experiences are unique and I look forward to connecting with you.
