About

I earned my undergraduate degree in social work from Fort Hays State University. I worked in the child welfare system for several years before continuing my education at the University of South Dakota, where I earned my Masters of Social Work. I draw from a variety of evidence-based practices that include Motivational Interviewing, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), The Gottman Method, and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) to create a tailored approach for each individual or couple and their situation. I enjoy working with adults in individual and couple/relationship therapy as well as teens. As a therapist, I am warm, open, encouraging, and genuine. In my practice, I combine experience, education, and creativity with a sense of humor and a down-to-earth, realistic approach. I look forward to getting to know you and working with you.
