Welcome to my practice. My name is Richelle Van Buren-Walls and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. I am passionate about empowering people to live their best lives and to meet their desired therapeutic goals. It is my belief that becoming more self-aware and self-compassionate allows us to make different choices moving towards the life we want to live. By helping you to gain clarity around conflict, troubling feelings, and patterns of behavior, it is possible to learn healthier ways of coping with stress and live a more connected, satisfying, and empowered life.
My approach to therapy is collaborative and reflective. I utilize my training in psychodynamic therapy, family systems therapy and CBT in order to address my client’s unique needs. Together, we can gain a deeper understanding of current life challenges and strengths in order to address the root of your problems and create lasting change. Although I have studied many different therapeutic approaches, I have specialized trauma focused training to include EMDR and Trauma Focused CBT.
