I am a mental health counselor licensed in Washington state. I have over six years experience providing mental health services to individuals ranging in age from 16 to 95 year of age, and have worked with clients from diverse backgrounds with a wide range of concerns. I have experience assisting individuals suffering from major depression, anxiety, career challenges, self-esteem, stress, relationship issues, and more. I have helped many people affected by trauma or abuse. I welcome those from all cultures and backgrounds.

In practice I utilize Person-centered therapy as the foundation of the client-counselor relationship. I base my therapy practice on the belief that the wisdom for growth and healing lies within us and we all have a propensity to self-actualize. My approach to psychotherapy is to accompany you in your search for wholeness and meaning, in your endeavor to relieve or resolve difficult feelings, and in the examination of issues that get stuck or repeat themselves in your life.

Theories applied during psychotherapy include Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT), Solution- focused Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Mindfulness-based Stress Reduction (MBSR), Emotionally-focused therapy (EFT), and Strengths-based approaches, depending on the needs and goals of each client specifically. There are times when an eclectic mix is the most beneficial. It is my promise to you to find and utilize, with your help, the best fit.
