I have been an LCSW in California since 1985 and have extensive clinical experience treating adolescents, adults and the elderly. I particularly enjoy helping others with depression, anxiety, adjustment difficulties, anger, PTSD, stress, relationship conflicts and aging issues. For me, cognitive-behavioral therapy is the gold standard, but I use other modalities depending on the needs of the client. It is my experience that clients know themselves better than anyone. They are their own best resource when it comes to psychotherapy. I see treatment as a joint venture where strengths, knowledge and skills merge to create positive solutions. A good therapeutic relationship includes trust, freedom, authenticity and positive outcomes.
