About

I have about 20 years of experience in the mental health, social work field. I have a masters degree in social work, I am a registered play therapist and have been in a solo practice for over 12 years. I have spent all my life, minus just a handful of years, living in Iowa and have experience working with people who live in urban and rural areas.
I have experience working with individuals seeking personal/professional growth and those struggling with relationship/family/parenting issues. I have both personal and professional experience with people with physical disabilities, people on the autism spectrum, child/adult ADHD and anxiety disorders.

I approach counseling with an open mind and nonjudgmental way. My role in this relationship is to support your efforts and help you find the resolution, peace of mind or changes that you are looking for. I will do so by providing you with a non bias sounding board and being resource through your journey. I approach counseling from a strengths and systems perspective. I do not believe in a one size fits all approach to counseling. I will do my best to tailor what we do to your individual needs.
