My name is Renee Price and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) based in San Diego, California, however, I work with clients statewide via Telehealth. I work with adults and specialize in anxiety, cancer/chronic illness, and mood disorders using Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) as some of the tools to help you on the path to feeling better. My approach My approach to therapy is to help empower you to become your authentic self, using curiosity and empathy. I aim to create a nonjudgmental environment where you can speak freely about your thoughts and feelings. I incorporate the use of ACT, CBT, and mindfulness strategies to guide you on your path forward. My focus I have found that my style and approach are a good fit for young adults throughout their life span. I’ve encountered people from diverse backgrounds and age groups with whom I've been grateful to work within a variety of settings. I integrate my experiences with compassion to provide integrative and culturally informed care in a warm and nonjudgmental space. My communication style My communication style is grounded, compassionate, direct, and committed to working with you to find new ways of approaching patterns and behaviors that keep you feeling stuck in your relationship with yourself, with others, and with your life’s purpose. My journey to mental healthcare I chose to become a therapist because I have always genuinely been interested in other people’s stories. Not all of the stories were happy and some people wanted to change. Being a therapist allows me to listen and be a part of the process of giving someone a chance to change their story moving forward. It is truly a gift to see people grow into who they want to be. My goals for you My approach to goal setting with clients is all about working together to identify what you want to accomplish in our time together. Each person is unique and so are the goals.
