Greetings! My name is Renee Burns. I have over 15 years of experience in the mental health field. I have worked in a variety of settings over the years including partial and inpatient hospitals, not-for-profit community centers, private and public schools, wilderness-based programming, and private practice. Whether supporting you through difficult life transitions, managing anxiety or depression, processing family struggles, offering parenting support, or dealing with fertility issues, my practice is rooted in a mindfulness-based, client-centered approach.

My background includes experience in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Trauma-focused therapy, and experiential and nature-based modalities for treatment. I tend to be solution-focused, and know how strong the healing power of the client-therapist relationship can be if grounded in mutuality and respect.

I believe that you are the expert in your life, and my goal is to offer skills, resources, support, curiosity, possibilities, and confidentiality in hope to assist you in helping you get from where you currently are to where you would like to be.
