Regina is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist certified in both EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) and Perinatal Mental Health and she also incorporates CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy) and IFS (Internal Family Systems) treatment modalities into her work. Regina has worked in private practice for a decade supporting clients sorting through developmental trauma, single incident trauma and antenatal/postpartum issues. Regina provides EMDR Intensives which are sessions that are several hours or days long to address client trauma and symptoms quicker than is usually achieved through weekly sessions. These intensive EMDR sessions are provided in person and have a separate intake process. Please review EMDR intensives information page and contact the office if interested. Regina’s passion for working with clients and family systems began when she volunteered and later worked for a domestic violence shelter. This led to her desire to provide trauma-informed care and addressing not only the negative beliefs and images that trouble client’s over time, but also somatic complaints that prevent people from moving towards healing. When the filing cabinet of the mind gets full, stuck or unorganized therapy can assist with the reshuffle and collaboratively provide a way to close each wound to assist with healing. Regina is sensitive to how challenging opening up to a therapist can be and how “amazing/goose bumpy” the client-led treatment can be!
