About

Hi! I’m a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor in Kentucky and Licensed Professional Counselor in Colorado - with six years of experience in Kentucky, Alaska, and Colorado. I have worked with individuals, families, and couples in private practice, outpatient, and community mental health. I have helped people cope with the uncertainty, fear, and loss that comes with COVID-19. I have worked with anxiety and depression. I have helped individuals who feel paralyzed by racial injustice, domestic violence, trauma, and spiritual crisis. I have worked with people who want to find ways to better cope with stress and relationship distress. I feel honored to work as a counselor to provide a space to help people air out the issues that are bothering them and to support them in moving towards wholeness, empowerment, and peace.

The techniques I use include: Gestalt Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Behavioral Activation Technique (BAT), Person Centered Recovery Planning (PCRP), Feminist Psychology, Multicultural, and intersectionality perspectives, Psychodrama and improv therapy, Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR), Solution Based Therapy, somatic, dance, and movement therapies, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Trauma Reprocessing Method, mindfulness, and nature-based therapy. Evidence based methods and treatment planning are utilized to avoid “forever therapy” and to better help employ your abilities to address the issue at hand and complete therapy. And come back when you are ready to work again.

My approach is eclectic. I strive to learn evidence based methods on an ongoing basis, to keep up to date on the current clinical, peer reviewed literature and material, receive supervision, and apply the most effective tools, appropriately matched to you.

Patients say that I am compassionate, personable, and effective. My focus is to understand your needs and hopes, to help you touch the places that are bothering you with compassion and empathy, and help those places integrate towards wholeness, peace, and acceptance.
