About

Welcome, and thank you for taking the time to learn more about me! My name is Rebecca, and I am a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor in the state of Maine, as well as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in the states of New York and Florida. I currently reside in a suburb of Tampa with my wife and our children (human and furry). With 10 years of experience across various settings, I offer supportive therapy for situations including; depression, anxiety, identity struggles, family systems struggles, trauma histories, life transitions, and varying mental health disorders.

“Anxiety can feel as huge as the big, blue sea, but remember that the sea is made up of smaller waves”. Sometimes life can be overwhelming, we feel as though we're lost at sea, and our own navigational devices aren’t working. I provide a safe space to break life down into smaller more manageable waves, supporting individuals with redefining their navigational systems. My dedication to the mental health field stems from my own personal experiences in it. Coming from a family with multiple members living with mental illness, and having personally overcome my own mental health challenges over the course of my lifetime, I know firsthand that navigating life with these added stressors can prove to be especially difficult. With the stigma that still exists around mental health, I know the roadblocks that can exist in seeking treatment. However, I also know how much better life can be once you find support and take the necessary steps to face the troubled waters.

I support every individual with identifying their personal goals and developing a treatment plan to support prevention, stability, and resilience. I use a person-centered, holistic, and eclectic approach in treatment. I utilize evidence based treatment modalities such as cognitive-behavioral, mindfulness, solution-focused, and reality therapies. I would describe my personal style as supportive, but I am also willing to challenge people when appropriate. Interventions are structured to meet each client where they are in their personal navigational journeys.

“You can never cross the ocean until you have the courage to lose sight of the shore”. I am passionate about supporting individuals and am willing to paddle right alongside my clients as they navigate their way through the waves into calmer seas.
