About

My name is Rebecca Blackmon and I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of Colorado. I have worked in the mental health field for over 10 years both in the school and professional setting. My expertise is related to working with teens and adults as a teacher, counselor, and personal coach.

My therapeutic approach is person centered as well as solution focused. I truly love people and am honored to be a part of the process that helps them see and achieve the freedom and joy they so deserve. We are all human beings and not human doings. The problem is we get so focused on what we should do versus whom we should be. I say, “Come as you are” and “Be you”. I want to hear people’s stories as each story is so unique and different. Our lives are like a book and the pages are still being written.

My goal is to assist people in putting all the puzzle pieces together to form the big picture. I desire to want to walk with my clients to face the unknown and find the victory in the midst of the trial. I believe all people are amazing and have abundance of grace and hope.

Booker T. Washington said it so well: “I have learned that success is to be measured not so much by the position that one has reached in life as by the obstacles which he has overcome while trying to succeed.” Always remember obstacles are just that. How we face them is what makes us who we are.
