About

I have been practicing social work for 15 years and been doing direct clinical work for close to 10 years. I began my career working with children in the foster care system where I developed a true passion for wanting to help. Since then I have had a myriad of experiences treating both children and adults. I have worked in hospital settings helping to gain a greater understanding of people facing chronic medical issues as well as in skilled nursing homes and assisted livings helping an older population find ways to cope with the issues that are unique to them such as aging.

My empathetic and caring demeanor coupled with my therapeutic approach utilizing cognitive behavioral strategies, acceptance and commitment therapy, a strengths perspective, and other modalities helps my clients find strength and develop positive coping skills. Whatever stage you are in your adult life my goal is to help you find a way to face your struggles and provide you with tools to help improve psychological functioning and improve mood.
