Hello and welcome! My name is Rebecca and I am a social worker in the state of Maryland, and licensed at the highest clinical level for social workers. I have worked in the mental health field since 2014, and have 6 years of post-graduate training and experience. I have worked in a number of settings, including: child welfare, substance abuse treatment, college counseling, emergency room crisis work, inpatient psychiatric units, and outpatient mental health. I have experience in managing crises, treating anxiety disorders, mood disorders, and depression. I have worked with those struggling with substance abuse disorders, trauma, attachment issues, parenting issues, compassion fatigue, burnout, life transitions and grief and loss. My clinical areas of interest are anxiety disorders, self-esteem issues, life transitions, pregnancy and postpartum, relationship issues and codependency.

I know the hardest part about therapy is reaching out for help, so please be proud of yourself for making the first step. I like to approach therapy by following your lead, and offering guidance along the way. You know yourself best, but sometimes anxiety, depression or other life stressors can blur our vision or cause us to doubt ourselves. I'm here to be a safe place for you to vent, process ideas, get a different perspective, and learn some useful tools along the way. I use a combination of cognitive behavioral therapy, mindfulness, and solution-focused therapy. I offer a nonjudgmental space for you to share your inner thoughts and feelings. It takes such strength to reach out for help and I am honored to be a part of your journey.
