Hello! My name is Rebecca Amundson and I am a licensed Marriage and Family therapist located in Elko New Market, Minnesota. I earned my masters degree from Adler Graduate School in 2016 and have over 4 years of experience as a therapist in a private practice setting. I use an Adlerian, systemic approach to therapy working to support a holistic path to healing within the individual and family system.

I enjoy working with adolescents, couples, individuals and families with various needs . Specifically, I have experience working with trauma, anxiety, depression, self-harm, suicidal thinking, parenting issues, interpersonal conflicts within the family unit, personal growth and self discovery. I utilize person centered therapy which means the focus of therapy is on you. As a clinician, my focus is to create a safe, judgement free space for you to be yourself while having difficult conversations.

As an Adlerian trained therapist, I use early recollections, discovering feelings of inferiority, and gather a detailed family history to bring about mistaken beliefs that lead to negative thoughts and behaviors. By creating insight, together we can cultivate personal growth through weekly goal setting.
