About

Hi there, I'm Rebecca! Hello, my name is Rebecca Wasinack and I am a Marriage Family Therapist (LMFT 122268). My approach on therapy is client centered as well as CBT. I feel you are the best at knowing yourself and I want you to share what you feel is most important to focus our time together on. I will also be providing additional worksheets and assignments out side of our appointments to really help you gain the tools you need to work through your symptoms. I have worked with clients with all different backgrounds, however, main focus would be anxiety, depression, substance abuse, new mothers, postpartum depression/anxiety, work stress, and anger. My approach The most common therapeutic approach I use is Client Center Focused, as well as CBT. I feel with these two approaches together, you get to focus on what you feel is best for you as well as learn and implement healthy coping skills outside of our therapy appointment. My focus I mostly have worked with anxiety, depression, substance abuse, postpartum depression/anxiety, parenting, new moms, work life balance, and adults. My communication style I feel I am calm and open. I am eager to help with no judgements and I am comforting, I don't have a harsh approach, unless clients request one. My journey to therapy I always enjoyed listening and helping people. I love how different and unique each individual client is and how they have a journey and need some hep guidance along the way to become the best versions of themselves. During my undergrad I took a few psychology classes and fell in love with the topic. I graduated and only a few months later I went on to get my masters in Clinical Psychology. I enjoyed every moment of this time of learning about myself and being able to complete my biggest passion in life, helping others. My goals for you I strongly encourage them to help me create the therapeutic treatment plan. With them involved as much as they can typically shows a higher success rate.
