About
Hello, my name is Ray Zamudio. I am a licensed Marriage & Family Therapist since 2008. My approach to therapy is being present with my clients to use my skills and knowledge to provide relief to what is troubling them. The focus areas of my practice are depression, anxiety, anger management, trauma, and LGBTQIA+ issues. My approach I enjoy helping people understand their feelings and opening them up to their capabilities and strengths to care for themselves and others. I use a variety of theoretical approaches such as Internal Family Systems, Bowenian Family Systems, Carl Whitaker theory, Jungian psychology work, Attachment theory, Trauma-Focused Therapy. and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. My focus I have 15 years of experience working with adolescents, and adults of all ages who have suffered from anxiety, depression, and trauma. My communication style I like to create a space where my clients feel supported and non-judged and comfortable expressing their thoughts and feelings and talking about their lived experiences. My journey to mental healthcare I’ve always been drawn to helping others. It has always been rewarding and what drives me to do the work of therapy is believing I can make a positive difference in someone’s life. My goals for you I facilitate in making a list and prioritizing and identifying the steps and what is needed to move towards those goals. My first session with you In the first session with me, please expect me wanting to get to know you and understand what you want out of therapy, and allow me to explain how therapy can help and its limitations.
