Hello, I am Raul! I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in Florida, and a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor in North Carolina. I am very passionate about helping my clients and meet them where they are at in their lives. Together we can build a therapeutic relationship that may lead to more insight, trust and healthier ways of coping with life's challenges. My approach My approach is eclectic and proving therapy is one in which I can draw on some of the more traditional therapy approaches such as: Client Centered, Behavior Therapy, Solution Focused Brief Therapy, Grief Therapy, Family Systems Therapy, Trauma Focused Therapy, Rational Emotive Therapy, Cognitive Therapy, Psychodynamic Therapy and Play Therapy. I also use Evidenced based practices by using (CBT) Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, as deemed clinically appropriate. It works by changing thinking patterns and behaviors that lead to maladaptive feelings and behaviors. Another evidenced based practice is Motivational Interviewing, which is a premier treatment to help clients alter behaviors that have been proven difficult to change. Evidenced based therapies have been scientifically proven to work..... My focus Treatment areas are focused, but not limited to the treatment of: Depression, Bipolar, Mood Disorders, Anxiety Disorders, Phobias, Generalized Anxiety, Panic Disorder, Adjustment Disorders, ADHD, Oppositional Defiant Disorder, Conduct Disorder, OCD, and others..... I also feel very comfortable providing Individual, Family and Group Therapy. My preferred age population is Pre-Teens, Teenagers, Adults, and the Elderly. My communication style I try to create a safe environment, in a non-judgmental manner where clients can feel comfortable sharing their thoughts and feelings. My tone of voice for the most part is soft to moderate, and I can adjust depending on the circumstances of the therapy session.
