About
Hello there.
My name is Randi Williams. Some of my passions include experiencing the awe of nature, traveling, learning about other cultures, and cheering on my local soccer team. I also love being part of the helping profession and am a Licensed Professional Counselor and Certified Professional Counselor Supervisor in the state of Georgia.
I have been privileged to work in the field of behavioral and mental health for the past 20 years. Throughout my career, I have had the opportunity to work in a variety of private and governmental settings. My clinical experiences include serving individuals with intellectual disabilities, helping achieve permanency for children placed in the foster care system, delivering counseling services and support to incarcerated women, and providing community-based therapy to children and families throughout the state of Georgia. In addition to providing direct care to clients, I have dedicated the last five years of my career to building up the mental health profession through leadership, supervision, and care for mental health clinicians.
I am experienced in a wide range of clinical needs including depression, self-harm, anxiety, mood disorders, impulsivity, trauma, low self-esteem, career development, family difficulties, and life transitions. I enjoy working with a variety of ages and needs, ranging from long-term mental health diagnoses to short-term life transitions. I am passionate about serving women who are working through family of origin concerns or other relational needs. Career development, professional goal setting, and leadership growth are areas in which I have extensive experience. I am especially fond of supporting others in the helping profession who may be experiencing compassion fatigue or other career-related needs. Additionally, diversity and inclusion are essential cornerstones which hold great value in both my professional and personal life.
I use a person-centered approach to therapy, seeking out and leveraging individual strengths to aid in your desired goals. This is done through active listening in a safe, nonjudgmental environment. In our work together I will apply concepts of Humanistic, Reality, and Solution Focused Therapy along with the practice of mindfulness.
Achieving mental wellness can be challenging for a variety of reasons. My practice has helped me understand that our wellbeing is impacted by the complex interactions of biology and lived life experiences. Typically, there are no easy answers to the challenges we experience, but together we can heal from trauma, navigate through life transitions, learn from one another, and become the most beautiful versions of ourselves. I look forward to meeting you.
