About
I have been in the field of mental health for over 20 years. This is still my passion! I feel I bring years of experience and my enthusiasm to constantly be learning and growing to this work. I see therapy as a potentially deeply rewarding journey into ones self. It takes courage to reach out and ask for some help with life's challenges. My goal is to offer support along this journey. I work in a strength based and brief approach. I believe that most people who want to do the work will find that it does not take long to move thru the challenges to the life they want to be living. I feel that I offer a safe and calm place to move thru the challenges and start living life to its fullest.
I am also a volunteer firefighter. I love working with first responders (police, fire, paramedics, etc) because I feel I have a good grasp on the culture and unique set of challenges they face. I am trained in EMDR which is a very effective practices for working with trauma.
I look forward to meeting you wherever you are along the journey and supporting your return to a meaningful life you want to live.
