I am a mother, Licensed Clinical Social Worker, and Founder of Goal Achieved, LLC. As a 22-year psychotherapist, I know the stages of change we all are faced with! My approach is client-centered, goal-focused, and empathic – you are your BEST advocate and I welcome you to this new beginning. I believe that Emotional and Mental pain is not something that should be hidden away and never spoken about. There is truth in your pain…there is growth in your pain…. Let’s work with it together. After the tragic suicide of my 19-year-old son-Jamal Clay in 2020, I felt compelled to continue his legacy and share his story with others impacted by suicide and trauma. My advocacy and education have led me to be trained in Trauma-Focused Therapy, Grief Therapy, EMDR, and CBT. I was featured in the Chicago Tribune, Chicago Southtown, Chicago Crusader, NPR- Science Friday edition (produced by the Kaiser Health Foundation), WVON 1690am, the Black News Channel, and will be a presenter at the 2022 American Association of Suicidology Conference Chicago Illinois.
