About

Hello! I am a Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist (LMFT) and I graduated from La Salle University, one of the nation’s premium therapy training programs, with a Master’s in Marriage & Family Therapy. I have five years of experience in clinical and school settings.

I received most of my clinical experience in community mental health, with clients from diverse backgrounds as well as various mental health and substance issues. Most recently, I worked in a Family Preservation program partnering with Child Protective Services. The program focused on helping families resolve all issues that could help keep children in their homes. These issues included marital problems, domestic violence, crisis management, childhood trauma, substance use, and various others.

I come from a cultural background that has brought me a good understanding of how family and where you come from can impact the rest of your life. Unfortunately, mental and emotional health were not prioritized in the community I grew up in. As I grew older, I came to understand how important these aspects of wellness are and this shaped my path to becoming a therapist. I would like to help more people coming from backgrounds that viewed mental health counseling as taboo so that it can become more culturally acceptable. I hope to bring this cultural sensitivity to the therapy space and encourage others to prioritize their mental and emotional health as well.

I truly believe that anyone and everyone can benefit from therapy. It can help you process a variety of problems including anxiety, depression, self-esteem, or family conflict. Therapy can also help you become the best version of yourself whether or not these apply.

I use solution-focused and strength-based techniques to help clients work through relationship problems, stress management, etc. I prioritize self-care and incorporate exercise, yoga, and travel into my regular routine. I enjoy working with clients to be more mindful and self-aware about their own physical, mental, and emotional wellness to become their truest and healthiest selves.
