Hello. My name is Rachel Zamorano and I am a Licensed Clinical Specialist Social Worker with over fourteen years of experience providing therapy services. I have worked in a wide range of therapeutic settings including mental health clinics, hospitals, correctional facilities, online platforms, and private clinics in the Wichita area. I work with clients affected by depression, mood disorders, anxiety, trauma, relationship, and family challenges.

I am from Wichita, Ks, and have lived in the area my entire life. I received my undergraduate degree in Criminal Justice with minors in Sociology and Forensic Criminology from Wichita State University in 2000, and my Masters in Social Work from Newman University in 2006.

I use a client-centered approach to therapy, offering my clients unconditional positive regard and empathy. I believe that my clients are experts in their own lives and that my role is to take direction from them regarding the goals and speed of therapy. I use a strengths-based and solution-focused approach to meet my clients where they are and guide them through a variety of treatment modalities to improved functioning. I use a Systems Based approach to therapy, meaning that all of the entities that the client interacts with are important to consider in the process of treatment. I support clients in developing effective skills, tailored to their lifestyle and circumstance to cope with life's stresses and regulate their emotions for optimal functioning.

Outside of my work as a therapist, I enjoy spending time with my family and pets, following my children's sports activities, reading, crafting, and traveling.
