Hello! My name is Rachel and I am a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker. I received my undergraduate degree in Social Work at Providence College and my Masters degree in Social Work with a Certificate of Graduate Studies in Adolescent and Childhood Trauma from Rhode Island College. Since then I have worked in a wide range of therapeutic settings including: adoption and foster care, residential care, and enhanced outpatient services and have experience working with children, teenagers and adults.
I work with clients affected by depression, anxiety, trauma and relationship challenges from individual, group and family work.

My approach to therapy is client centered: clients are the experts on their lives and determine the direction and depth of therapy. I rely on building a strong therapeutic alliance to produce positive outcomes and lasting change. Through a strengths-based lens, I draw on multiple treatment modalities to guide clients in identifying strengths and developing treatment plans that accomplish their goals. My approach combines aspects of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Narrative Therapy, Trauma Focused Therapy, and Psycho-education. I do not use a cookie-cutter approach to treatment and when we work together your goals will be the foundation of our therapeutic journey together.
