About
My name is Rachael, I am a licensed professional counselor and I am here to be an ally as you navigate the path of healing. Are you tired of struggling without support that actually feels like support? I graduated Summa Cum Laude with my bachelor's degree from The University of Texas at San Antonio where my focus was on researching marginalized communities and understanding various disparities placed on those individuals. I graduated with my Master's in Science for Clinical Mental Health Counseling from a CACREP accredited program at The University of Texas at San Antonio and I also hold NCC accreditation (National board for Certified Counselors). I have worked as a crisis counselor with the homeless and veteran population in Harris County, working with clients with various mental health and IDD backgrounds. I have also had experience working with individuals who have experienced trauma. My objective is to provide a safe space for individuals to explore life changes and worries without fear of judgment. I have a passion for helping people navigate through life's challenges with compassionate care and genuine empathy. I operate from a client-centered perspective and believe that there is no one-size-fits-all solution for life's problems. I am a clinician that will highlight the positives and the work that you as a client have worked hard to achieve in life as I understand sometimes we do not see all of the good things that we do.
