Hi there, I'm Rachael! Hello! I'm Rachael Hanaya, a licensed clinical social worker in California (LCSW#114343). I provide person-centered, strengths-based therapy focusing on who you are and the growth you want to achieve. My approach I utilize mindfulness, motivational interviewing, psychodynamic, problem-solving, and cognitive behavioral modalities in my practice and will tailor our sessions according to your goals. My focus I work with individuals of all ethnic, cultural, and religious backgrounds and am a BIPOC and LGBTQ+ ally. I typically work with clients who have challenges with anxiety, depression, job stress, medical stress, and relationships. My communication style I work to build a comfortable working environment with my clients through providing and holding a nonjudgmental, safe space for our sessions. I strive to provide support, comfort, encouragement, and empowerment to my clients. My journey to therapy Navigating life's roads may be difficult- but they are not meant to be done alone. I am here to be in the passenger seat of your vehicle as you drive and navigate life's journey, providing support, guidance, and comfort through the bumpy roads. My goals for you Goal setting will be a collaborative effort, with you steering the wheel. We will work together to identify areas you want to focus on and build realistic goals to work towards. My first session with you I respect your time and willingness to engage in therapy and want to build a safe space for us to work. Within our first session, we will review consent, therapeutic boundaries, and expectations and get to know each other more to start our work together.
