I am a former adjunct professor of psychology and Diplomate of Clinical Social Work who believes that to have a successful outcome in therapy, the client and therapist must first build a strong rapport. Once that foundation is laid, I can use one of several therapeutic modalities, depending on the issue at hand. Frankly, I have no need to lay on anyone a particular psycho technology. Everyone is different and have their individual needs. My belief is that simply providing a confidential sounding board for your thoughts and feelings can be very useful. If desired, I can assist you in creating a plan of action to achieve your personal or professional goals. I have worked with folks struggling with drug and alcohol use as well as physical disabilities that may hamper their progress. Too, I have helped those seeking a grounded footing in their educational goals. I have experience working with those seeking clarification in their relationships at home and at school or work. I have sought to help folks work thru their trauma and its physical and emotional pain.
I provide supportive counseling and exploratory psychotherapy to those who have chosen to explore their gender dysphoria or de- transition issues. I will not write letters of gender affirmation.

Along with my own coming of age learnings I have completed varied educational pursuits including graduate work at UC Berkeley and my time in the U.S. Marine Corps.
I am a professional member of the American Counseling Association , Gender Exploratory Therapy Association and the Canadian Counseling and Psychotherapy Association.
My hope is that we can learn from each other and discover our shared humanity.
