Therapy is a place where we can build insight into ourselves and learn to cope with the stressors that life lays in our path. My approach is centered on partnering with clients to build on their strengths, reflect on patterns and relationship dynamics that may be harmful, heal from traumatic experiences, and strengthen their communication with loved ones. Poesis has experience working with a variety of clients from adolescents and their families to older adults. Her primary areas of focus include managing general and social anxiety, coping with depression, coping with grief and loss, managing ADHD,strengthening communication between adolescents and their parents; and coping with trauma. She primarily uses a psychoanalytic psychotherapeutic approach, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and mindfulness to support clients.
