About

My name is Phuong Le. I am a licensed Marriage Family Therapist. I am a Vietnamese bilingual psychotherapist who would like to bring therapy to people who feel therapy is only accessible to just the few. I have been a post-licensed therapist for more than 17 years. I am particularly passionate about offering services to people experiencing marginalization. I have been trained in psychodynamic approaches, objects-relations theory, cognitive behavioral therapy approaches and use mindfulness as an integral part of of work with clients. I have a Masters in Clinical Psychology from San Francisco State University and a Bachelor in General Psychology from University of California, Irvine. I have worked as a direct service clinician, manager, Clinical Supervisor, and overseeing contracts for mental health provider agencies. I have dedicatedly career to empower and enhance the voice and strength of the culturally, ethnically and linguistically diverse communities. I believe that we as mental health providers cannot neglect the intersectional impacts on mental health. I am a passionate and empathetic therapist with strong counseling abilities and an understanding of interpersonal familial relationships. I have experience leading clients through painful experiences of trauma and grief resulting from interpersonal and other violence as a result of inequities and racial distress. Through clinical experience, compassion, and empathy I support and assist those willing to make a positive difference in their lives. I pride myself in providing a safe and supportive space, to work side by side to overcome traumas, and barriers. I specialize in addressing healing despite external adversities, mental and physical conditions using internal and cultural strengths. I am a strength-based, culture-focused, humanistic therapist who is deeply passionate and curious about the journeys of each client seeking personal growth from their experiences.
