Philicia Barbieri, LPC, CAADC is a Licensed Professional Counselor and certified advanced alcohol and drug counselor. She has an existential belief and approach to counseling that all people are capable of creating their own meaning and sense of purpose in the world; through this each person can create a full and rich life for themselves. Philicia values the individual and has a passion to help others.

Philicia has been working on the field since 2013 providing services in individual counseling for drug and alcohol addiction and mental health. She has experience in crisis counseling, community based counseling, and group counseling. Philicia’s clinical approach is open and accepting, meeting each person where they are at and working towards change.

Philicia is also a certified yoga instructor with experience in mindfulness, meditation, and utilizing yoga as a tool for recovery.

Philicia is interested in working individuals including adults, and couples, she offers individual and couple therapy, utilizing cognitive behavioral therapy and motivational interviewing. She has experience in help those who experience complications in the life related to depression, anxiety, mild to severe substance use, and trauma.

Philicia received her Master’s degree in Professional Counseling from Carlow University in 2015.

When not working Philicia enjoys yoga and going on walks, as well as spending time at home with her boyfriend and two dogs.
