Perla Girardo is a Licensed Professional Counselor Associate (LPCA) who obtained her master’s degree in clinical Mental health Counseling from Liberty university. Perla has been able to help and guide individuals who suffer from chronic mental illness through individual therapy and group settings. As a clinician, Perla finds joy helping individuals who suffer from anxiety, depression, trauma, mood disorders and personality disorders. Perla also has extensive experience working with individuals who struggle with using substances and alcohol. Perla has been able to provide support to those she counsels and equip them with tools to accomplish their goals. As a clinician, Perla believes in their client’s ability to change and grow from even the most adverse situations. Perla utilizes a holistic approach and incorporates diverse interventions including but not limited to cognitive behavioral therapy, (CBT), person-centered strategies, relational cultural approach, rational emotive behavior therapy, motivational interviewing, faith-based approach, trauma-informed approach and eye movement desensitization and reprocessing therapy (EMDR). Perla believes in meeting individuals where they are and empowering them to become the best version of themselves.
