I have worked extensively in the area of substance use disorders, codependency, domestic violence and anger management. My experience includes substantial work with co-occurring disorders and, being a veteran., can relate strongly to veteran issues. One reason I entered the field is so that I could give back for the help I received when I was younger. I genuinely enjoy seeing my clients grow and become enabled to better solve their own issues. I use a variety of techniques including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Interviewing and Trauma Informed therapy. My focus is always on client centered therapy. Education and credentials include; Masters Degree in Counseling Psychology with emphasis in marriage, family and child counseling, Licensed Independent Substance Abuse Counseling from the State of Arizona, Certified Clinical Trauma Professional from Evergreen Certifications and a Certificate of Competence as a Substance Abuse Treatment Specialist from the Naval Military Personnel Command.
