About

Hi there, I'm Patricia! Hello there, I'm Patricia! My name is Patricia Sosa. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in Northern California, and working with clients statewide via telehealth. I have experience working with adults with severe mental illness and crisis stabilization. I have a passion for helping others, which is why I love my profession. I enjoy photography, drawing/painting, and documentaries in my free time. My approach My approach is a combination of different modalities with a focus on cognitive behavioral therapy and dialectic behavioral therapy. These evidence-based modalities will give you the cognitive shift to see different perspectives on the challenges you face and help you build self-regulating tools to gain empowerment within yourself. My focus My therapy style is a good fit for young adults, women, persons with dual diagnoses, and persons who struggle with cultural trauma. I have a lot of experience working with symptoms of depression, anxiety, dual diagnosis, and trauma. I also like to work with people in a transition period to help them explore what is the next step for them. My communication style My communication style is relaxed and attentive. I like to create a safe environment where clients know they have a voice and are viewed as a person and not a diagnosis. I am here to be of service to you. All I want is to help. My journey to therapy I had just experienced a life-changing traumatic event. I needed help and decided to seek a therapist. It was a terrible experience. I left the office feeling judged, unimportant, and feeling worst than when I came into the office. Right then and there, I promised myself I would become a therapist so I could provide a safe and supportive place for people to receive the help that I desperately needed that day. My goals for you Treatment goals are very important in therapy. It guides the path of focus in sessions. It's like a journey. If you do not have an idea of where you are going,
