Summa Cum Laude graduate of the National University in California where she obtained a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and a Master of Arts degree in Counseling with specialization in Marriage and Family Therapy.
For almost 20 years, Patricia has dedicated herself to helping clients achieve a desirable and lasting growth. Her training includes processing their trauma and attaining a higher level of functioning. Patricia’s clinical experience also includes work with individuals that present with Post-traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), Depression, Anxiety, Grief and Loss, Mood Disorders, and Psycho-educational Disorders such as Autism, Intellectual Disabilities, and Specific Learning Disabilities.
She has facilitated support groups in areas of depression, suicide prevention, grief and loss, and parenting education. Additionally, she assists the community by offering Pro Bono psychological services to non-profit organization such as the Consulate of Mexico, Latinx Therapy, and Give an Hour. Patricia is Fluent in English and Spanish.
Currently, during the COVID-19 Pandemic, Patricia offers options for therapy sessions held over the phone or computer as well as services in private practice in the city of Long Beach, CA. She uses a wide range of evidence-based approaches to assist individuals, couples and families work through their problems and improve the quality of their lives.
Patricia is also contracted with Mutual of Omaha Insurance Company and United of Omaha Life Insurance, a worldwide leader Employee Assistance Program that provides comprehensive services to assist employees to face a wide variety of life challenges.
