About
Hello my name is Patricia “Patt” Carrington. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in the State of Wisconsin. I am a compassionate professional with 30 years of experience in providing social services, case management and trauma counseling working with diverse groups of all ages. I have a calm and easy-going demeanor with the ability to a create a working rapport, develop trust and maintain meaningful relationships. I am non-judgmental, solution focused, and results-oriented.
My specialties include working with individuals whom suffer from anxiety, depression, anger management concerns, adjustment disorders and substance use. I work with individuals, couples, and youths as they face challenges through life's transitions. Together we will work as a team to find workable solutions that fit in your life's journey.
I began my career as a social worker working with women and children impacted by abuse and trauma issues. I love helping people find the best path for themselves, as you are the most knowledgeable about what works best in your life. My therapy style and approach is influenced by Solution-Focused Therapy which is future-focused, goal-directed, and focuses on solutions to help you get to the place in your life where you can be the best version of yourself. We will work together as a team to help you set goals and learn ways to navigate life's daily challenges.
Thank you for checking out my site! Before we start working together I just wanted to give a little information about scheduling. I am available evenings and weekends. As single parent I always looked for providers and activities that were available after day-working/school hours. I continued this into private my practice for families who could not miss work or school, but needed therapy services to accommodate their lives. I am available weekday evenings after 6:00pm, Saturdays and Sundays from 11:00am to 4:00pm. I check messages about 2-3 times per day, usually in the morning, afternoon and evening. I will always respond within 24 hours. I look forward to chatting with you and if you have any questions or concerns please feel free to reach out!
