Hi, I’m Patricia Kovars, Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist since 2001 with over 10 years private practice experience. I have a Master’s in Counseling from CSU Fullerton. I provide Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy, which focuses on changing thoughts/behaviors to ultimately improve mood. I utilize interventions such as: journaling, positive self-talk, “I can” and “I am” affirmations, relaxation exercises, hypnotherapy, bibliotherapy, homework assignments, role playing, prayer, meditation and mindfulness. I motivate clients towards goals that are SMART: specific, measurable, action-oriented, realistic and time-bound. I have many years clinical experience helping children 8+, teens, adults. I am grateful for a rewarding lifetime career as a therapist. I provide compassion, empathy, hope & empowerment. Therapy can be a life changing process to improve overall mental health, increase coping skills, manage stress and mood, strengthen interpersonal relationships, overcome life challenges, reach personal growth and goal fulfillment.
