About
Hello!
Thank you for taking the time to read my profile! This means that you are contemplating the beginning of your therapeutic journey, and this is a beautiful first step. I truly believe that ANYBODY can benefit from therapy no matter one's age, gender or race.
I received a Masters in counseling and psychological services from St. Mary’s University. Since that time, I earned my Licensed professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC) in the state of Ohio. I have experience working in school based counseling, Methadone clinic, community agency work, and private practice.
I have experience working with individuals (children, teenagers and adults), families, and couples. I have experience serving diverse populations with a wide range of mental health concerns including; (anxiety, depression, etc.), cultural issues, addictions, life adjustments/transitions, trauma informed therapy, family conflict, and troubled parent child relationships, relationship issues, stress management, life transitions, grief and loss, addictions, parenting problems, career challenges/workplace conflicts, and ADHD. I also helped many people who have experienced physical trauma or emotional abuse.
I believe in a person centered counseling approach where my clients are able to feel a sense of respect and autonomy. In addition, I utilize motivational interviewing skills, solution focused therapy, reality therapy, and cognitive behavioral therapy. Your goals are what is important to me and will be the foundation of our therapeutic journey together.
I understand that it can be difficult to ask for assistance and I recognize the courage that it takes. Therefore, My main goals are to meet you where you are, and work cooperatively with my clients to help them meet their goals, as well as to create a comfortable and safe space for you with no judgment. I'm here to support you along the way and help you to reach a state of relief from whatever your unique situation may be, and look forward to working with you. Please do not hesitate to contact me.
