Hi there!

I am a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC) with a Master's in Mental Health Counseling from Eastern Kentucky University, a PhD in Counseling from The George Washington University, and 10 years of experience in the field of mental health. I have experience addressing a variety of issues that often bring people to counseling including: symptoms of anxiety and depression, relationship issues, stress management, and adjustment to transitions in life, among others. I also have a lot of experience working with individuals on addressing addictions, such as reducing or abstaining from substance use.

I view the therapeutic relationship from a humanistic, person-centered approach, meaning that I focus on a person’s strengths and individuality while encouraging growth. I believe that everyone is capable of growth, and that everyone can benefit from an outside perspective from time to time. I like to integrate the use of a variety of treatment interventions based on what you need. Some of these include: Solution-Focused, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, and mindfulness techniques. I like to be creative and collaborative in my approach, so expect that I will check in with you regarding what is working vs. not working with you, and we can adjust our plan accordingly.
