About

I am proud of you for taking the step for a better you! Counseling can be your road to great outcomes such as inner peace, improved self-worth, managing symptoms of trauma, or other positive goal we set as a team. I am committed to helping you reach those outcomes and would be honored to journey with you in therapy. My name is Odilia Jimenez, a Licensed Professional Counselor, (LPC) and a National Certified Counselor (NCC), and I am focused on helping you achieve your therapy goals. I have worked in the mental health and social work field for the past twelve years in different settings such as outpatient mental health services, shelters, and state programs. I specialize in working with victims of trauma, which includes sexual abuse, domestic violence, victims of human trafficking, and other forms of trauma we don’t always consider. I believe in the importance of allowing you as the client to freely express yourself in a safe and nonjudgmental environment; a place you can be heard and validated. The sessions are for the client; therefore, I believe in the importance of the client’s autonomy and respect the choices a client makes in reference to treatment. There are many tools we can utilize during sessions that derive from a variety of empirically researched techniques which can be confusing but I can help you decide on what can help your specific situation. I became a therapist to give individuals the freedom to tell their stories and heal, and I hope I am given the opportunity to hear yours and walk together on this journey. If you would like to ask more about my services, contact me. My door is open!
