Nicole is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and a Certified Child & Adolescent Anxiety Treatment Professional with more than 15 years of experience. She uses an integrative approach to therapy, blending styles in a way that accommodates the unique needs of each client. She is certified in Dialectical Behavior Therapy, and, when warranted, incorporates the related modalities into her practice: mindfulness, emotional regulation, distress tolerance and interpersonal effectiveness. DBT is an evidence-based therapy known for successfully treating people who experience their emotions very intensely. In addition to her work with a wide range of diagnoses and client backgrounds, Nicole has a deep understanding of school social work, special education, behavior analysis and interventions, and improving social, emotional and behavioral functioning. Other areas of extensive experience and/or training include: self-concept and motivation, parent-coaching, psychoeducation, relational aggression and girl-issues.
