Nicole O. Crawford is an alumnus of the University of South Florida’s (USF) College of Public Health. While enrolled at the University of South Florida she obtained her Master’s degrees in Social Work (MSW) and Public Health (MPH) with a concentration in Behavioral Health. Her career in behavioral health began 7 years go with work as a substance abuse counselor for an intensive outpatient treatment program for women with co-occurring disorders. Upon exiting the field of substance abuse treatment, she accepted employment from the USF Memory Disorders Clinic (MDC) in the USF Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Neurosciences as a Clinic Coordinator and Social Worker. Nicole utilizes a solution-focused treatment approach combined with a strengths-based approach, motivational interviewing and cognitive behavioral therapy. She has experience in working with adults diagnosed with depression, anxiety, family issues, memory disorders, and caregivers of persons with memory disorders. She also has experience conducting family sessions and facilitating psychoeducational group sessions. Nicole enjoys engaging in the team effort of assisting others with coping with life challenges. She believes that providing an open non-judgemental space for individuals to discuss their feelings, thoughts, and any challenges they may be facing is the primary role of a clinician.
