Hello!

Congratulations on taking the first (and arguably the hardest) step in making a change in your life! Reaching out for help in a time of need takes a lot of courage – so great work taking the initiative in taking a stand for yourself!

I am a licensed professional counselor that has 8 years of experience in the mental health field. I have worked with a variety of individuals with different backgrounds, including individuals with serious mental illness, substance use disorders, posttraumatic stress and adjustment disorders, anxiety, depression, Bipolar disorder, and more.

My primary counseling strategy is to provide a warm and safe environment that is based off kindness and empathic understanding. I typically like to build off of what is working in your life and apply it to areas where you need help. But don’t worry! Even if you don’t feel anything is going right, I can assist you in finding and channeling the strength that feels lost. Addressing self-talk is one of the main techniques I use in therapy, as I believe our thoughts greatly influence how we interact with the world as humans. I also believe that our experiences and the things we are told about our character by those around us also affect our internal dialogue.

Even if you feel as though all hope is lost and nothing will ever change, I hope that you take the time to connect with a counselor and give yourself time and space to heal. I look forward to helping and empowering you to navigate the journey towards healing!
