I have always loved to help and work with people, which is why I graduated in 2012 with a Bachelor’s degree in Social Work at Mississippi Valley State University. I also completed my Masters in Social Work program at the University of Southern Mississippi. I have obtained my LCSW license in the state of Mississippi.

I have been providing counseling services since 2014 and have worked with children, adolescents, and adults in individual and family settings. In 2014, I worked in an adult and juvenile detention center, where I provided counseling as well as assisted with obtaining the resources necessary for individuals to transition back into their lives once they left the facilities. I have worked in adoptions and foster care, where I conducted foster care evaluations and interviews with prospective adoptive families. I have worked as a therapist in the school system with children and adolescents diagnosed with Anxiety, Depression, ADHD, and PTSD. I have experience assisting with not only the issues occurring at an individual level, but at the familial level as well. I have worked with individuals diagnosed with Bipolar Disorder, Dementia, and Personality Disorders in assisted living facilities. I have also worked in private practice with adults on managing stress, relationships, and challenges related to identity & self-esteem. I am passionate about creating partnerships with individuals and groups that meet them at their comfort level, incorporating their values and beliefs, and building upon their strengths.

My therapeutic style involves Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Solution-Focused and Client-Centered Therapy. During our time together, we will work towards change and accomplishing your goals for yourself. I would describe my therapeutic style as warm and empathetic, but ready to help you to overcome the obstacles that are standing in your way. We will work together to create goals as well as steps for you to achieve these goals. Although the process is not always easy, it is worth it.
